Worcester Goalkeeper Academy Coach Profile: Nathan Keast
Nathan Keast, Goalkeeper Coach at the Worcester Goalkeeper Academy.
Qualified as a Level 1 Football and Goalkeeping coach. With additional qualifications in other sporting disciplines.
Currently in the final year at the University of Worcester reading Sports Coaching Science.
Nathan says that ever since he came to the University of Worcester, he has wanted to develop his coaching skills in order to become a more rounded teacher.
He has managed to get a wide base of coaching qualifications from football to tennis and lacrosse to rugby which not only gives him transferable coaching skills, but allows him to offer something extra to the Worcester Goalkeeper Academy.
Through working within the Academy his confidence has grown and from working with the other qualified coaches has helped him tremendously, continuing his development, to become a more knowledgeable coach.
“When working with children, fun is fundamental. Make all activities fun and enjoyable to instill confidence and willingness in the child to play. Making sure to coach correct technique in order for future success.”
